Can I claim private health and Medicare rebates?
Yes. Most private health funds offer rebates for dietitian consultations, and no referral is required. The rebate amount depends on your individual policy, so it’s best to check directly with your provider. After your appointment, you’ll receive an invoice that you can submit to your private health fund for reimbursement.
If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) or an Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP) from your GP, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for part of your consultation fee. Please email through any relevant GP referrals prior to your appointment.
All rebates (private health and Medicare) are processed by you directly after your session.

I offer online Telehealth consultations via Google Meet, so you can join your session from wherever feels most comfortable, at a time that fits easily into your day.

Seeing a Dietitian can be such a beautiful investment in your health and wellbeing. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian, my role is to listen first, and work with you to support you with evidence based nutrition strategies and recommendations that fit your body, goals, and life. We focus on progress, not perfection. And on nourishment that supports both physical and mental wellbeing, without restriction and overwhelm.

As a Non-Diet Dietitian, I don’t believe in structured meal plans as they can feel rigid and make food stressful.
Instead, after our first session, we’ll work together to create a personalised treatment plan which we’ll build upon over follow up sessions to support you on your way.

The Balanced by Bec Clinic is open on Tuesday and Wednesday (7am–4pm) and Saturday afternoons (2–6pm) AEST.Client support

Terms and Conditions
Your appointment may be eligible for private and Medicare health rebates, upon request.
If you need to cancel your appointment, simply contact us via email (hello@balancedbybec.com) or DM (@balanceddbybec). We will cancel your appointment and send you a link to reschedule.
BOOKINGS
I. All appointments are to be booked in advance through our website, DMs or email.
II. Bookings are only confirmed once your confirmation email or text has been received.
III. It is your responsibility to ensure the booking details (time, timezone, date, service type) are correct.
IV. You will receive a link to join your appointment (via Google Meet) in a follow up email upon booking. Please also complete the attached intake form at least 24 hours prior to your consultation. This allows your practitioner to prepare for your consultation and better understand your needs.
FEES & PAYMENTS
I. Appointment fees are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and subject to change.
II. To secure your appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking. If booked via DM/email, you will receive an invoice following your appointment which must be paid immediately.
III. If payment is not received as required, services may be suspended or cancelled until fees are paid.
IV. Rebates may be available through private health funds or Medicare (if eligible), but it is your responsibility to confirm eligibility and submit claims.
CANCELLATIONS
I. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
II. Cancellations made within the notice period may be rescheduled without charge.
III. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance at an appointment (“no-show”), may incur the full consultation fee.
IV. In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide your consultation at the scheduled time, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule (at no extra cost), or offer a full refund in line with Australian Consumer Law.
